The outside dog

"Pancho is an outside dog. And he will always be an outside dog."
"Of course," said Marisol. "I have always wanted an outside dog." (p.63)

One day, Marisol and her grandfather find a skinny mutt sitting outside their house. Grandfather is worried about fleas and ticks and whatever. But Marisol persuades him to feed the dog leftovers from dinner.
Their neighbor down the hill was a fisherman named Nando. There were many dogs on the hill. No one owned or took care of them. So Marisol had always wanted a dog.

This is written in easy English. Conversations between Marisol and her grandfather will make you happy.

Why such large gaps between paragraphs?

Don't forget to write book reviews consistently! You have already read 3 books for literature circles, all of which should be turned into reviews!
